Weekly Question Six

6)Describe how you feel physically while working. What changes or stays the same as you work?

physically by working here I think things are pretty good over all. I like that I could have time to myself to think everybody is in class. i also like talking with the customers about their day . it makes me feel like I did a good job by helping someone.some of the changes I see are that people get to know you and they think you should know what they need right off hand. one thing that stayed the same was that you see the same people just about every day.

Weekly Question Five

5)Has there been a time where you made an error either with money or dealing with a customer? Explain what happened and how you corrected it. What will you do differently next time?

I would have to say its been a little of both for me.one time I was trying to make an iced coffee and I used hot coffee. it was very watered down and the person didn't want to pay for it . I didn't know how to give her the money back so I had to get help from my teacher. I think it was very bad because I took up her time for no reason. something I think I would do differently next time would be to slow down and take my time . this would help me because people would want to come back every time.

4)Do you have classmates asking you for free drinks or pastries? You aren't alone! Some of your peers will ask you this frequently, causing you to make an ethical decision. How have you handled it in the past? How will you handle it in the future?


I would have to say yes my classmates have asked for free things. what I do is tell time in the best way I know how no. I know the things are not mines so I cant give them away. I know that this is a class so I have to do the things to meet what I need to be doing and that not one of them.I think in the future if i get a job I would do it the same way because you could get fired for this. I know when you give things away that are not yours someone has to pay for it.

Weekly Question Three

3)Talk about tasks that can be done when the coffee shop is slow. What types of things can you be working on to still be a productive worker?

I think there are a lot of tasks that can be done when the coffee shop is slow. the first one would be cleaning up around myself and on counter tops.what i mean when i say this is if i see trash food or spill ex. get it up before anyone can see it to point it out. another thing i can do if i have time would be to restock. this is something that should be done anytime its low because if your customers can't see what you have you want make any money. the last thing you could do if you done both of these would be to do you work for other classes. you need to do this because you should always there to stay on tack.

2)We are already beginning to talk about customer service. Talk about a positive customer service experience you have had working at Jittery Joe's.


I think I am pretty good at customer service because I know the job is not about me its about the customer. One of my positive experience would have been on the 2ND week of school.I was starting to learn how to do everything in class and someone needed my help with making a Smoothie. So i really didn't know if i was making it right and the boy loved it. so he came all most everyday for one. this made me feel so good about myself because I almost knew I was going to mess up but I didn't. So just by helping the boy with a positive attitude and good customer service I see him all most everyday for a smoothie. So just doing the best i can get me by day by day.

1)Is working at Jittery Joe's your first experience with work? If not, what skills from other jobs are you implementing at the coffee shop? If it is, what skills are you learning that you will take with you to future jobs?

No working at Jitter Joe's is not my first job experience.some of the skill from other jobs that are implementing to me at the coffee shop would be helping people.i think this is one of the biggest things at a job because if you do not have Customer service you will not keep a job . the word Customer service means the provision of service to customers before, during and after a purchase. I think you also have to remember what customers like because it makes it a lot lighter on you at the job. one of the skill I think I would take with me would be get to work on time and knowing your job because it will help you keep the job.
